Deep Squat for the legwork: Just like a deep
squat uses more muscle, burns additional calories and are super cardinal for
the perfect strong base i.e. your butt, so is a good research….analogy too
much! But it couldn’t ring more true. So once figured out what you wanna do or
what you wanna be…next steps would entail figuring out the line of work and its
scope in your location. Fish out if being the newbie in the field works or does
it require you intern for experience, would you be willing to work for free,
whats the pay rate. Is your survival possible with that minimum grade-1 salary?
What kind of other skills or qualifications is required? Do you think you could
adapt into this role with your current personal/professional skills?
Prime Q: Will this task give you
Mondayitis? If NO! go ahead..if yes…lets deep squat again!
GOALS/RESEARCH
2.
Hobnob like you’re Mark Zuckerburg for that
year: Make efforts to use time, connections, and
relationships optimally to enhance your happiness, success, and true wealth.

networking opportunities, and your competence will help turn obstacles into
growth situations. SO you wanted to be an abstract painter? Remember that sister’s
friend who graduated in art from college a couple of years back. Facebook
her or drop her message on LinkedIn. What about your art teacher in college?
Shoot her a mail. Meet them up…ask for their advice. Cultivate a value based
networking based on selfless attitude and , where networking is viewed as an opportunity to help
people. The research proven fact is when
you put more vitality into giving than receiving; the giving comes back to you
tenfold.

Q: Are you meeting people apart from your everyday circle? Are you socializing?

Get the
vocals of your jam: Duh! But obvious. Stating the obvious is never always a bad
idea, you would be surprised to know how some people presume that they can just
flounce into their reverie with a couple days ‘of experience and nada knowledge
in that field. Arming yourself up with learning not only amps up your KSA but
also ensures a deeper confidence if it’s the field you want to invest your time
in. Don’t get caught up in the mad rush, you can check courses online..after
all, internet lights up knowledge.

4. Experience
is the teacher of all things: Gear up bud…cuz studying, doing that support-life
job and interning for ‘the dream job’ can be a little baffling. However,
gaining ‘no/low pay for a fesher/intern’ work experience is an inevitable step
towards your big decision. Let’s keep it peachy at how you will not only level
up your skill set but only create a chain of invaluable contacts. Cue, online courses.
You don’t have to run to fill in application forms for Oxford and Harvar to get
your degree. Studying your course online allows you to slot it in when
convenient to you, leaving you time for your day job (and social life). CHECK OUT OPEN COLLEGES.
5.
Practise and Play: So once you are ready with
that chunk of confidence to switch careers, get that flair and send
applications. It is always advisable to brush up interview skills, grab some
info on the interviewee company and the role being offered. It’s quite possible
that you being the fresher will have to climb the ladder from the first rung
but that rightitude and smart schmoozing will take you to greater heights in no
time. Get in the AAA mode and slay.
