What's with the ATTITUDE? Errr...everything

Recently I went to a Gucci store in the city (there's only one in the city :P) . Not that I am a frequent buyer of luxury brands, but once in a while (read that blue moon), I definitely like treating myself to a candilicious handbag.

So coming back to the store, there were more than sufficient salespeople, all well dressed in black suits, running forth from one end to the other.

As I entered, I waited for someone to come and assist with my requirements. After like 5 minutes of waiting I still could not figure out a single salesperson, free to assist - all gushing in and out of their stores. I tried hinting one of them to help, but the saleswoman seemed really occupied with probably ' nothing'.  The cashier was busy doing his job, when I finally gave up on the patience, I called out to one of these salespeople, and her revert was "I am sorry, probably someone else will help you out I am busy."

After waiting for another 5 minutes, I asked out the cashier for help, he suggested "Ma'am I am busy, which he actually was, (dealing with another client), someone should help you as soon as they are free."

What I realized is in spite of it being a GUCCI store and having a good number of sales assistants, they were not only reluctant to help out but were also really blunt. Aren't salespeople supposed to greet you with a smile, ask what are you looking for, help you out with prices and choices, and assist you with the billing?

The very same day I also went to buy an Indian dress in the adjacent mall. This sales guy who I met at the store, helped me out with the variety, the prices, the selection and the billing.

It is basically about the attitude of the store and their people, that push you into buying and a happy shopping experience.

Hence I decided to do a post on attitude and its impact in an individual's life.

Attitude isn't everything, but it is one thing that can make a difference in your life. There is little difference in people, but the little difference makes a big difference. The little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.”— Businessman, philanthropist, and author W Clement Stone

“Two men looked out from prison bars, one saw the mud, the other saw stars. The above line puts forth two different perceptions to look at the same thing, and why we perceive things differently is because of our attitude, our beliefs, and opinions. Our attitudes and action determine where we stand in life. Undoubtedly skills and aptitude are important but mental attitude is higher critical factor than mental capacities for the determination of success or failure.

ATTITUDE             α            POTENTIAL, PERFORMANCE, RELATIONSHIPS, SUCCESS

The sum of all opinions and belief encompass our overall attitude and therefore it can be explained that attitude is an inward feeling expressed by outward behaviour. Each personality is accompanied by a set of attitude. Your attitude forms your perception, and that makes the difference of seeing the glass half full or half empty.

Attitude is a form of expression of our self. You can choose the inner vibes of encouragement, and motivation or you could go with the pessimistic and critical vibes.  People with positive thinking apparently develop positive mental attitude, outshine in every field, be it personal or professional.

A situation can either turn into a problem or an opportunity; the way you respond to it is the sole decision maker. Attitude is the quintessence of a human being. It develops within us, yet it’s demonstrated outside of us through our actions. Attitude shapes our approach towards life - our approach towards work - our approach to others.  Be it a ob, or an entrepreneurial journey, it becomes a roller-coaster ride, with its own set of highs and lows; it’s more sort of an attitudinal lifestyle, where one needs keep putting efforts to make hay, whether it’s shining sun or dark nights.
