Of course we all aim to be be as productive as we can be, manage work, manage families, manage health, manage social life, but sometimes it all gets muddled up.
These simple productivity tweaks can make a big impact and help you get more done in the same time.
1. Make you bed first thing in the morning
2. Start you day in peace. Don't just jump into work, social or emailing right after you get up. Make time for meditation, workouts, journalling, or some quality breakfast with family.
3. Before you start your day, a basic to do list highlighting priority areas is the key to a sorted day.
4. Don't fret about reading all mails, 30% are advertisement or promotional mailers. Simple delete/archive
5. If you are handling more than one project, schedule parts of the day for each of them. Keep mornings for business and maybe evenings for writing. DO NOT MIX HOURS. It will only leave you burnt out.
6. Delegation is the key to get more done with efficiency. You can add your touch on the finished task.
7. Walk when on the calls. Try aiming for 10000 steps a day.
8. Read. It broadens your mind, diverts your mind and brings in a new perspective.
9. Postponing that call to the client, that talk with the supplier, if it takes less than 5 minutes do it right away.
10. DO NOT be active at snapchat, facebook, instagram all at once. They suck and zap energy.
11. When cluttered with options and stuck with decision making, write the problem, the avaialble alternative and the pros and cons, you will gain 99% clarity.
12. Use tools: Google Docs, Camscanner, Evernote, Slack, Haptik, to manage routines. Beware, don't get lost in the tools.
13. Plan what to wear, breakfast options, and even schedule TO Do's if possible a day before in advance.
14. Always wrap your work at the end of the day, leaving it at any random point, will prove to be a problem when getting back to it.
15. Rewind and Restore yourself by giving yourself the much needed space after a hectic day. Spend time with family, switch off mobile phones if possible, make sleep area gadget free, make sure the bedroom is breathable and well done to provide you a comfortable sleep.
These are things I have learnt and imbibed over time. They won't make an enormous impact in your routine lives, but will contribute to tiny improvements eventually improving the quality of your day.
