Weekends are supposed to be for parties, for lounging, relaxation or any thing other than work.
And I totally agree, it kind of does become mandatory to take a break or there are chances of getting burnt out. Though we have all sorts of crazy work lovers, who do not differentiate between the week of days, but I personally believe in maintaining some work-life balance.
But, it is crucial to ensure that you are not drifted to El Dorado in the weekend, and lose track of your work, goals, deadlines or targets. Make sure you don't strew your side hustle and then gag around in guilt.
Plan your weekend intentions in a manner that help you smoothly sway out of work and smoothly put you back in the work zone. I like to break crazy between Friday evenings and Saturday nights, Sundays I keep to get back in the work sync.
Here's a short video by Gary Vaynerchuk to keep your motivation on. For a deeper impact, watch it on Sunday afternoon.
