Somehow we have been driven in to the notion of quick
success- overnight success. But is that really true? Is it possible to make a
mark in lesser time? Is there a possible short-cut?
The truth is NO. The odds of you being an overnight success
in whatever field you are maybe one in million.
EAT the REALITY, and get rid of this ideology.
An idea of overnight success only leads to frustration,
impatience, anxiety and developing a short-cut approach to things, which
further impacts one's performance and lifestyle.
Why do we get into this false belief in the first place?
There are two possible reasons:
- · What we believe to be an overnight success story, might have been cooking and simmering in the low steam all this while- the chef never giving up, and the market just realized the value of their great idea or product or service
- · There is a line of difference between quick success and early success. We are all influenced by stories of people like Mark Zuckerburg, or Ritesh Agarwal or Taylor Swift. These people became successful and millionaires at a young age, but they are backed by stories of struggle, hard-work, creativity and learning. They have also gone through the common cycle of failure, disappointment, defeat, improvement, opportunity and success. These early success stories have one thing in common - they start early. However they might have been favoured by some chance, and had to go through less experimentation.
The crux is that the outcry of overnight success is just a
misconception. The only key to reach where you want to is CONSISTENCY.
DOING will provide the DIRECTION you need. You will fail, you will be exhausted,
you will be disappointed and you will want to quit. But remember the only
difference between winners and losers is, the winners kept moving. Focus on your
own shit.
Success is the direct result of hard work. It requires
patience, perseverance and pliancy. Success is hustle and humility.
Success is NOT OVERNIGHT, Success is OVER-YEARS.
