By second half of the day, we start to lose on energy and zeal, and hence the productivity starts to decline. These below 3 tricks will help to keep the pace going:
- Create a pressure period: A lot of us thrive under pressure and achieve more in less time. Create a faux mini crisis on a particular project or a task- which will lead to development of the good stress or eustress in the body. This good stress further enhances the motivation and the focus and gets you done more than you would have in the original time frame.
- Focus with noise: Have you ever tried writing a report with some background noise- it provides as a great environment to focus. The noise can be anything soothing- like an instrumental jazz song or white noise-anything that helps you concentrate on that task and block out on the monkey mind.
- Say YES to NO: Most of us get stuck in a quagmire in a situation where we have to refuse or say NO. But saying YES very often zaps your energy leaving you overwhelmed and hence affecting your productivity levels of the day. Learn how to say NO-refusing without rebuffing is an art. Figure out which situations deserve a complete NO- and then use email templates or pre-worked scripts for a polite refusal. It helps you clock out more time for self without affecting relationships.
Hope these frugal yet forceful hacks work well for you!
